Khaiyoi (Sunny Suwanmethanon) is a shy young man from Bangkok who goes to university in Chiang Mai. There he develops a friendship with a girl, Dakanda (Siraphan Wattanajinda.) Later, they both realise their feelings are developing beyond simply 'best friends', but Dakanda is in love with another boy. Thus, after graduation, Khaiyoi moves to work in the South. On a ferry to Pha-Ngan Island, he falls and breaks his leg. In hospital he meets a nurse, Nui (Maneerat Kham-uan), who develops a crush on him. But Khaiyoi wants to keep that relationship as only 'best friends.' He'll soon return to Chiang Mai and has to decide where his heart really is.

เรื่องราวของหนุ่มเมืองกรุงที่ใสซื่อและแสนขี้อายอย่าง ไข่ย้อย (ซันนี่ สุวรรณเมธานนท์) ผู้ต้องจากบ้านไปเป็นนักศึกษาที่มหาวิทยาลัยแห่งหนึ่งในเมืองเชียงใหม่ ที่นั่นเขาได้พบกับสาวเชียงใหม่สดใสร่าเริงและจริงใจอย่าง ดากานดา (ศิรพันธ์ วัฒนจินดา) ผู้เข้ามาสมัครมอบมิตรภาพความเป็นเพื่อนให้กับเขาก่อนที่ความสัมพันธ์ของทั้งคู่จะเดินทางไปสู่คำว่า เพื่อนสนิท และความใกล้ชิดที่ทำให้เขาค่อยๆ รู้สึกกับเธอมากกว่านั้นอยู่ข้างเดียว ในขณะที่วันหนึ่งชะตาได้พาไข่ย้อยให้เดินทางไปขาหักไกลถึงเกาะพะงัน ที่นั่นเขาได้พบกับ นุ้ย (มณีรัตน์ คำอ้วน) พยาบาลสาวประจำเกาะที่แจกมิตรภาพให้เขาบ่อยกว่าจ่ายยา ก่อนที่ความสัมพันธ์ของทั้งคู่จะเดินทางไปสู่คำว่าเพื่อนสนิทและความใกล้ชิดที่ทำให้นุ้ยเริ่มรู้สึกกับเขามากกว่านั้น หากแต่เพื่อมันเป็นความรู้สึกข้างเดียว ความรักของเพื่อนสนิทสามคนจึงคล้ายถูกกั้นด้วยมิตรภาพที่แสนจะอึดอัดใจ
