A legendary tale dating back 150 years written by classic Thai poet Sunthorn Phu. It tells an ancient tale of two brothers, Princes of a Kingdom within Siam a long time ago. Their father orders them to prepare for succession as King by going out to get an education. When they return with little more than qualifications in stick fighting and flute playing, the King is furious and kicks them out. There begin the adventures of Phra Apai Mani and Srisuwan.

Epic much loved Thai folktale with a mixture of battle scenes, magic, sea witches, mermaids, handsome prince finds beautiful princess etc. Film has English subtitles.
This film had some problems at the Box Office in Thailands because of the occasional bare breast exposed upsetting Thai moral sensibilities. I quite enjoyed it, but it is not a classic.
