Sherry Ann is story of corruption and reveals cracks in the Thai police and judicial systems. The case in question was that of 16 year old Sherry Ann, a beautiful Thai-American teenager found dead in the woods outlying Bangkok in 1986. A man and his gang were arrested, but the main man, a Thai Don Juan, was ultimately released, leaving his four men to go to court and face the brunt of the charges. All four were sentenced to death. After spending more than 6 years in high-security prison, the Crime Suppression Police re-opened the case based on the suspicion that the men were innocent. The reopening of the case led to the redemption of the four men, but not without cost: one died in prison, two died shortly after, and the last was left a cripple due to the brutality of the police while incarcerated. The search for those guilty continues.
