It is July, the Chinese month of the ghost festival. Taiwanese girl Jane (Annie Liu) returns to look for her policeman boyfriend Joe (Dylan Guo Pin Chao), only to discover that he has started an affair with his pretty Chinese neighbour, Hosie. The other girl not only wants her out of their lives but now wants both of them dead.

Bride-to-be Yuki (Asaka Seto) has suffered from nightmares all her life. One day, for real, she notices a boy in a yellow outfit, the same boy she has been seeing in her dreams. However, only she can see him. As soon as he realises she can see him he vanishes, leaving only a pool of water behind. Her fiance, Satoichi (Takashi Kashiwabara), suggests she goes to see a psychiatrist. Under hypnosis, she reveals her secret about a strange creature she used to keep as a pet.

Prang is a single mother who lives with her young son. A mysterious man seems to shadow Prang wherever she goes. The mother believes that the man has been sent by her ex-husband Wit, with a malicious intent to steal her son. Prang lives in a constant state of paranoia. Prang's memories keep slipping out of her grasp but the more she searches, the more her turbulent past comes back to haunt her.
