Does anyone have any recommendations or contacts in Phuket for yacht charters? We are going in October and I would be interested in getting one for the day.

A long time ago I helped crew a friends 42ft yatch which we raced in the Phuket Kings Cup Regatta. This was chartered from Sunsail which has a 'branch' in Phuket.

Asia Marine is a good resource. Big A resort in Chalong has some yachts for charter (with or without the skipper) http://www.biga-sailing.com/ although the website only tells you about their bigger yacht I remember them having 2 or 3 smaller yachts

You could also have a look at http://www.phuketraceweek.com/charters.htm where you will find several links to charters available in the phuket waters

http://www.charters-phuket.com/ seems to be one of the bigger overviews and I know the guy behind it to be rather pleasant.
