The other half has one,as a change from Honda Waves/Dreams etc and rates it. She says it's easy to ride and has had a hook put on the inside front to carry extra stuff, even though it has a big under saddle storage! However, she too has been seduced by it's looks, methinks.

She loans it out as a taxi for her cousin to use and he has said it's not as good as his Yamaha Nuovo ie slower top speed and not so good off tarmac because of a lower ground clearance.

I won't go on these things under any circumstances, but I was pleased to see the airblade has decent brakes and suspension.

http://www.review-stuff.com/honda-air-blade.html

the above review site of the airblade is interesting because the guy who wrote refers to Thailand a lot.

When i'm in Thaiand i ride a Yamaha Nuovo and i absolutely love it. Wish i could ride it back to England !!!

When in Thailand at Ban Pong I either ride my mother-in -law's or my sister-in-law's Honda Dreams but also I love to hire the Honda Shadow 250 or 750 (whichever I can lay my hands on). When in BKK I dont go near a bike, no way.

Cheers chaps, looks like I'll be coughing up about £800 for a new bike then! And now my D drive on the computer as just given up the ghost, looks like an expensive month Cry

Edit: Just had a quick look for a new drive not that pricey unless you want a blue ray one. Smiler

Wifes already checked the price out for the Air Blade and tells me 50,000 Baht "for everything". price quoted on your link when it was written (May 2007) is 52,000 Baht. If I know her the poor bloke probably been well beaten down in price.

Edit: here's one price Iv'e just found

The bike all the kids want at the moment is the Yamaha Fino.
They look great with the chrome light clusters on the front.
