Anyone know if/when Thai Airways will be/are likely to drop their prices, so that they are compatible with Eva.

Looking to go out in Apr/May and want to add to Thai loyalty points before loosing some at the end of the year.

I notice Eva have some good prices and if Thai aren't going to reduce them I would be more than happy to go back to Eva. Used to love their Pot Noodles!

I was in a similar position to you. Concluded that Eva was likely to remain the better buy so what to do with my Thai airmiles?
I found on their website it was quite attractive to use miles to buy hotel vouchers for Thailand, so now I am looking forward to a few nights at a top hotel of my choice....not totally free since I have to pay the service charge. And the vouchers are valid one year.

You can never be sure, Thai quite often announce offers late. On more than one occasion I've waited then booked with another airline only to find that Thai announce their offers the week after. If you can be flexible it might pay to wait a while.

pgcon,

The Thai hotel reward vouchers also do not cover breakfast and I've found it quite difficult to actually get a room in Bangkok using them.

We've found that a better option, (if you intend to fly with TG again) is to take the USD100 duty free voucher to spend on the plane.

My-Pen_Write,

I hope you haven't booked yet because as I mentioned could happen in my earlier post - Thai have just announced some offers:

1 April to 30 June - £375 + tax with WestEast Travel.

As if by magic, a couple of days after the latest Thai offer appeared on WestEast's website - it disappeared. Strange.

Glad you confirmed that Flip,I had been puzzling over it myself,as I knew you wouldn't have confused their Eva offer.
That said,I always find that their web search for flights function never works for me anyway...Might be a PC thing though Shrug
