Having just scanned through todays Bangkok Post i came across the story of Bangkok Airways placing a 20% increase on the price of flights to Koh Samui, this means around an extra 900baht each way! The company blames the hike in Fuel Prices and the relocation of its busines from Don Muang to Suvanarbhumi for its need to increase its fares. This affects Y, M class seats onthis routing!!

that's bad news. fortunately, the cheapest internet fare of about 2,500 baht for the first and last flight of the day between bangkok and samui remains more or less unchanged.

Does anyone know if Bangkok Air's website actually works?

I've just tried to book flights to Samui for the first week of March 07 on their website and it says flights are not available on the days I selected. I've tried all dates for the whole week with the same result. I even tried dates in August just to check if anything came up - same result.

I can't imagine that with almost 20 flights a day from Bangkok that they are fully booked already. Is that possible? If so, does anyone have any suggestions what I can do?

Just tried it now and managed successfully book the flight

I was in a mild panic last night having booked the flight to Bangkok and the hotel in Samui only to find that I might not be able to get to Samui!

I'm feeling much happier now
