Do you actually need an international driving permit in los ??, I have a pink one i may hire a vehicle in los but otherwise it will be using a borrowed private vehicle.
Getting hold of international permit is somewhat difficult
these days.

Mr Gardener
08457-223344 is the post offices services no, ring and tell them what you want (ie) IDP they will ask you your postcode and in return they will give you your nearest post office that can issue it there and then take along the above required paperwork and funds
you might find it very handy should you be in the unfortunate postion of being involved in an accident where someone (thai) is seriously hurt which may not have been your fault

and just in case someone is not from the UK, the AA has a special service for resident foreigners. Just call them and they will refer you to the correct department (and that info is not on their website)

OMG !! Did'nt realise you needed an IDP for LOS. Always relied just on my UK Licence. Thank heavens never been stopped - or worse. Anyhow, applying to AA now - just in time before we head off to LOS in a couple of weeks.

I was tootling down Sukhumvitte Road in the direction of Rayong at Christmas on a scooter. I and my girl both had crash helmets on. As I came into view of one of the boys in brown on the roadside he pulled me over. Passport, UK photocard licence, UK counerpart licence, and then my piece de resistance my international driving licence.

" You have? " Cry said my brown shirted friend

Yes see I have.
