Hi can anyone help me with choosing a flight back to England for me my wife and a 4 month old baby. I am looking for a flight preferable to Birmingham because i live in nottingham or London. I would consider any class as comfort is a priority but i also have a budget so a bargin would be appreciated. And as we are flying with a young baby an airline that is good with babys we will be flying mid march 2007 thanks for any help

Best regards Aor&Ian

Book early with BA and you should be able to get the bulkhead seat with a bassinet. Out of 8 longhaul economy flights in the last 2 years we've managed to get these seats every time.

You can also take the pushchair/pram right up to the gate.

Only second hand knowledge, but a good friend of mine came home with his new wife and 4 month old baby with Thai Air in October and he says they were very helpful, bulkhead seats and bassinet.

We flew back to UK with Thai Airways when our son was 3 months old and they were excellent. Would definitely recommend them for anyone flying with a small baby.

kanchana prefers EVA airways and they give priority to famiies of infants for the bassinets which we always get.
then there is better entertainment wider seats and all the leg room needed and also assures me that the food is better than the other airlines that go direct Razzer.
i like them as they are cheaper than BA/QANTAS Applause and compare very favourable with thai therfore pound for pound it has to be EVA Thumbs Up good luck which you choose

We prefer EVA too. Last time we flew with 9 months old son, they were excellent. But it's pity that they don't fly to BHX Frowner

We live in Malvern, once we flew with Emirate when our son is about 6 months, they were very terrible. Over book seat and delay. We asked for the cot but they took us to sit in the middle of the seat, very narrow and very nightmare with the 6 months baby. He had to slept on the seat beside us. The staffs were bad, we asked them about our seat with cot at the front, what she said is the seat is double book so they have to give to the poeple who come first and blaim us like it was our fault not to check in earlier Mad. Plus we felt asleep and when we woke up we found they finished with the small meal (like snadwich and tea) and never gave anything to us or even asked for that meal. So we have to stucked there with our poor baby who can't sleep well on the unfirm seat for 7 hours.

After that my husband never ever wanted to fly with them anymore even they have promotion or how cheap the price they are.

That's what is good about BA (not flown with Thai/EVA with a baby) they always reserve those seats for familes and the babies will always take priority over other passengers.

There are plenty of reports out their saying that Emirates also favour middle eastern families over westerners too which isn't very nice (www.airlinequality.com)

And I forgot to say that the people who got our seats at the front haven't got kid with them. They are on theirown but we have a baby and we have to sit in the middle row of the seat at the back. How bad they are. And we didn't check in late at all. We were at BKK airport almost 2 hours before the flight but their flight delayed from somewhere else. At that time the ground staffs asked for volunteer not to fly with that flight because they had a big problem about over booking, so it's not us who delayed, that's why we were so mad.

But we can say the flight of Emirates from Dubai to BKK and Bkk to Dubai is good. The staffs are nice but both legs from BHX o Dubai and Dubai to BHX are terrible, it's strange huh?
