Right I am off to LOS on the 4th April, Mot is following on the 9th April.

I have decided to take me ole Mucker Mervyn on an all expenses paid trip to the Malaysian F1 grand prix, courtesy of Chevron Thailand, Me and Merv will be mixing it wiv the big wigs in their hospitallity facilties for the weekend.
Lets just say I know some influential Thai's

Well this might be a long shot but doe's anyone fancy going?

Flying to Kuala Lumpa on the 6th, 7th of April flying back on the 9th and then off to Phetchabun on the 10th,
Also as I do not know Bangkok, does anyone know of a hotel not to far from the New airport, and also not to far away from town? Is that possible? or would I be better getting a room in Pattaya for a couple of nights?

Dao & I will be in Sepang after a family visit to Phitsanuok flying LHR/BKK 24/03/07 on TG but we will not be living it up like you corporates mind you looking at seat prices for this circuit

Our Sepang tickets arrived today we are in grandstand F Gold on 7th & 8th are you anywhere near it as a beer or too might be in order!

I will be with Dao and my mate Rob but the missus said "I don't think I can drive these cars" not understanding we are only watching!

I will try to find out where the hospitallity suites are
BTW I am stopping in the Empress hotel Sepang, where are you stopping?

We will be in KL itself not the Airport and Radius Hotel is likely (unless someone on here tells me not to book)

We are arriving around 5th or 6th for the GP and then a few days in KL as my mate Rob is a steeplejack and wants to go up Petronas Towers but apparantly tourists only go to the bridge (41st floor) even though the nutter said last night "it would be fantastic to rope off the top"

For inf my mate changes the light bulbs etc on the top of Canary Wharf and in my opinion is certifiable but his words again "whats the problem"

Maybe we can have a beer at the track?

Our tickets show a circuit plan and our grandstand is next to "Sepang village" which if like any other race track I have been to includes eating and drinking establishments

BTW the Radius Hotel cancelled our booking as its closing several floors for refurb which I find strange on race weekend but apparantly last booked = first booted out ie us

However we are now in another City centre hotel and all confirmed ok

We too had a good time at Sepang well my mate and I did as Dao has declared "F1 is like snow ie she has seen once and not again" (I did buy her earplugs)

She and 3 other ladies behind us in the grandstand even went to sleep mid race enjoy the rest of LOS trip
