Whilst we on our annual visit to LOS this summer, Mam and I plan to visit Angkor, probably flying into Siem Reap from BKK.
Any advice would be much appreciated eg. hotel recommendation, guided tour recommendations, how long to stay 3,4,5 days, must dos, don't do's, try to avoids. It will be a once in a lifetime trip so we want to do it well. Thanks in advance guys. John B nao faz mal means mai pen rai |

good idea to fly in as the roads, at least back in 2001, were terrible.
we had one day in Siem Reap and rented a couple of bicycles to visit the temples ($20 entry) but go early in the morning as we went in the afternoon and got lost in angkor after dark although we hitch hiked back into town. we did quiet a bit of hitch hiking in Cambodia and had no problems. i think 3 to 5 days for the temples would do it and don't forget the Angkor Beer! Just as good as Beer Lao! brief article on discovery of Angkor แอนโธนี่ |
