Hello all once again,

I am looking for more advice, this time regarding hotels. I plan to be in Pattaya round about the 12th 13th of Feb 06 with my wife and 2 daughters + probable some of my wife’s other family members hanging on. We usually stay at the Palm Garden on Second Rd near the round about where the dolphins are in the middle, if you are familiar with that location. This time we fancy a change of hotel, does anyone have recommendations for another hotel. We fancy getting closer to the beach, we don’t mind being close to all the bars, in fact I’d love it just don’t tell the wife, a swimming pool would be nice but not too important as we should be close to the beach. Cheap and clean are our main needs and the hotel must be able to accommodate a mad and merry family. Any links to your recommendation would be good. We were thinking of the Green Hotel?

Thank You for your time.

Gerry

Gerry,

There are 2 Eastiny Hotels on Soi 8. I've stayed at The Eastiny Place at the top a few times. Its relatively modern and its always been clean with good service. There is a pool (should be finished renovating it by now) and I think at that time it should still be 850 baht per room. If you want the number or e-mail - PM me.

The other Eastiny is about half way down Soi 8 - never stayed there.

I've stayed at the other Eastiny Flip mentions. It's fine. However, beware some noise as the bars at the back of the hotel are to be pulled down and a new hotel constructed. Some of the work has already started.

I have to say that I found Eastiny Place (on the right as you go up the soi and further from the beach than the other) to be by far the better of the two. I can confirm that the price is 850 Bht per night. The noise can get a little much at times but usually only if you stay in the "B" block.

Hi,

Thanks guys. I just remembered one of my friends stayed at one of the Eastiny Hotels when he first went to Thailand so I will check that out as he also liked it. As long as you don't mind anymore recommendations still welcome.

Thanks

The Sabai Inn is a good hotel in Soi 2. You can use the swimming pool in their sister hotel, Sabai Lodge, acroos the road.

Twin Palms next to the Hardrock has a pretty nice little pool and a sort of kiddie pool for non swimmers.

Keep away from soi8,soi2 hotels with two girls (children)
ie the flippers and sabai inn or lodge.

try naklua road we book with http://www.ash-hotel.com
the above mentioned areas are not chlid friendly.

having your two daughters with you just outside pattaya is
hotel with horse riding centre and other activities.
