Although they look very profesional they are a waste of time booked a hotel 5 days ago still waiting for confirmation and they take an authorisation from your credit card even before they confirm the booking they are a waste of time as they don't give real time avaiability so while you are waiting for them to confirm you could be getting a reservation with a good company like Octopus

Hi Spectrum, I use a company www.asiatravel.com I have done for the past few years now, they take your credit card details and pass them onto the hotel you choose, but you dont pay till checkout of hotel, the card details are in case you dont turn up, they will then charge you for one day, they always reply within 24 hours and give you a person's name to deal with re booking highly recommended by myself. mods (I hope its allright to use the web link).

Bit harsh. Just want to give a bit of balance.

My business partner and I pretty much make all hotel bookings in Thailand and Hong Kong through www.asiarooms.com or www.asiatravel.com. Never had a problem - always worth comparing rates as one can often have better deals than the other.

I've seen criticism of asiarooms delay of refunds on cancellation on another forum. Again, never had a problem on the few cancellations that I had to make.

If you're going to use sawasdee, please use this link instead:

http://hotels.thailand-uk.com

It's the exact same booking service (i.e. sawasdee) with the same prices, but proceeds go to the upkeep of this website and forum. Thumbs Up

Thanks

I have to agree. Always used asiarooms. Found them the cheapest and so long as you book a week or two in advance rooms always seem to be confirmed at the prices quoted. On one occassion had to cancel and this was done most efficiently with a full refund given the same day. What I particular like is the fact that they always reply to emails promptly and are available to talk to on the phone 24/7.

(its OK Nick - they don't offer visas)
