We stayed in the Amari Atrium hotel. Great hotel, very good first impression of Bangkok, but, not anywhere near Sukhumvit. In fact I thought it was in the middle of nowwhere.

Zohak,
You,ll like the Royal Benja, we stay there every time we stay in Krueng Thep, the best breakfast buffet in town, great location on Sukit Road. Near the Skytrain and Subway systems. Fantastic views from the rooms, like being in the set of "Blade Runner".

My friends stayed in the Zenith on Soi 3 last time and I was very impressed especially with the sky pool.

I would recommend The Davis Hotel. It is situated within the heart of business district on Sukhumvit 24, a few minutes stroll to the Emporium Department Store and 10 minutes walk to Skytrain Station. Rooms are designed with thai theme. It's a mix of modern and thai. But it might be a little bit tight to your budget. I'm sure you will love it. Otherwise Windsor Suites is another choice. It's on Sukhumvit 20, very close to Skytrain Station and Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre. The rate is about 2,000 baht per night, I like foods there.

I'd recommend Stable Lodge on Sukhumwit Soi 8. It's not as upmarket as some of the other suggestions, but has a sizeable walled garden and pool area, friendly staff and a great all-you-can-eat barbeque every night. Danish mangement, but manages to avoid feeling like every western hotel you've ever stayed in.

Probably around 1200 baht per night

Last few week I had booked The Davis Bangkok Hotel for my Thailand trip, this hotel look nice and also have wireless servise for all room, may be little bit far from the main road, but they have free "tuk tuk " servise every 30 minutes... hummm let try. Wink
