Hi db1,

I Just read a bad report on that guest house on another forum, don't know the resort you mention but as its xmas, not sure what you're get for less than 1k other than a guesthouse?

A hotel I stayed at, that was recommended to me, which is very central and very good, not luxurious, but has a good sized pool, fridge (not bar) and everything you need, is the ppvilla hotel, I stayed there last August for 10 nights at 800b per night, room only. Its 2 minutes from the beach on the Damnernkasem Road, near the junction where the sofitel is on the corner. But I guess it'll be about 1300b at xmas?

They don't have a website and prefer cash(!), their email is ppvillahotel@hotmail.com.

I'm in HH for 10 night from the 22 May, so if you want anywhere checked out? I've also stayed at the suites, Grand and City Beach. The first two were fine, although the Grands the other side of the main Phetkasem Road and I thought the City Beach was the Pits.

I've stayed at the Hilton as well, but thats a different story...and actually, not the smartest way to part with yur money.

I'm staying 3k south of town this time, that'll be a first!

Check this link for more ideas.

It seems Goannas business is going to change later this year to something other than a guest house but accommodating in other ways!!!

Won't be open at Christmas

Hi Again, anyone know the Hua Hin Suites Hotel, never been to Hua Hin so I have to keep asking about hotels.
Phil your right about goanna's it will be closed from July this year, I had already sent them an email and got a reply from Rod Faux the Aussie owner. Your Hotel the Duangkaew Resort looks very nice but out of my price range, but you only get married once Wink
So if anyone knows the Hua Hin Suites or any other hotel I can go up to about 1,800bht per night for me and the wife, would love to hear your replys.
Thanks
David

The sawadee site, however accessed is good, because of the reviews from people that have stayed at the hotels, there are others apart from those mentioned in the links already provided - check the reviews on the link to each hotel.

http://hotels.thailand-uk.com/huahin.php

[Link modified by admin - same sawasdee service, proceeds to this site]

God, I will feel responsible if you don't like it!!! As I say, its not top notch luxury, but I've paid a lot more for less! Nearest brekky place is...the hotel! Never tried it as we found a place around the corner we liked. I think some of the Brit owned places are renowned for their English breakfasts, but turn right from the hotel, and within a few yards there's a place on the corner thats fine. HH is quite small and everything is in walking distance.

PP Villa, not the guest house, has excellent rooms for about 800. Nice pool, really friendly staff. Front closes early but back entrance open all night. Phone: 0 3253 3785. It really is nice.

A place about 20km South of HH is very nice Dolphin Resort villas were excelent, we stayed with Ash and his family there there are miles of beaches there, and the place is set in the middle of a National Park, but you have to walk for miles if you want to swim in the sea as it's so shallow. Have a search for trip reports as I seem to think Ash did one. Mossies are a pain at sun down.

You probably don't know, but Ash and Mervyn were a couple. Mervyn has since heartlessly dumped Ash for the younger and prettier Bryn.

Dan = BhaMah, not fair I have to be so careful what I put on here for fear of being banned again.
Ash and my stomachs did not get on together we are two roundies together(like we kept getting pushed into the pool and people asked will they live) but Bryn is a nice slip of a boy who I know likes the "Throb & Splash" bar in Patts Big Grin

Also which ever of the Mods put the link in my post above a better link is

It wasn't a mod, it was me. We've got to pay for this site somehow. Your link might have prettier pictures, but the prices are cheaper on my link and proceeds go towards the costs of hosting this free-to-use website and forum. You have a problem with that? Smiler
