Hi there
A very quick question. Is it possible for a Thai/Thai+British national to claim a tourist VAT refund for purchases made in Thailand while on holiday, given one has permanent residence in the UK or has British citizenship? Thank you!! Ek .............................................................................................................. The more I learn, the more I realise how little I know. |

Hi Ek,
It can be done but make sure you enter on your British passport if you are a dual-national. Some useful info here On my last trip, I noticed places like Siam Paragon have their own VAT reclaim desks. Happy shopping! Packpao |

To be honest, unless you spend a small fortune, its not worth it. Stood in q's for ages. All the wifes fault. Didnt even cover the departure tax for the four of us and while I was waitng, the wife and kids had spent more entertaining themseves.
