Default Latest Airfare Bargains - 2012

Just booked from Manchester to Bangkok for a month over the Songkran period for £1700 for the 3 of us with Emirates using http://www.holidaygenie.com/flights/ found through skyscanner. Not a bargain but the was still the best price I could find after trying all the ones mentioned in this thread.
Oh well Thailand here I come,oh happy days

What were the transit times between flights Dave?

PS having just looked on the site they are only able to quote for "Holidays" of not more than 26 nights Dave

The section on the left hand side of the home page lets you choose flights only. The transit times are 2 hrs 50 mins going and 2 hrs 15 mins coming back.Just checked the web site again with our dates that weve booked and coming back dearer now so we got in at the right time.Yesterday had it cheaper than we have booked with Tesco travel, thought I'd wait till the Mrs got home to show her and 30 minutes later the same site was quoting £100 more.I think its down to luck and just being on at the right time.Had my e-tickets e-mailed to me so all ok that end.

I prefer Tesco travel also, get some good prices plus get Tesco clubcard points and if you pay by Tesco clubcard credit card you get for that also! Wife loves it!

Sister does it also, when she gets her vlouchers she saves them and then rolls them over, every 3 odd years she goes on a Virgin Holiday, just come back from Dubai booked on vouchers as they treble up! 2nd time she's done it but have to book via Virgin but a free holiday none the less, we have about £700 so far so treble that up and we are nearly there for a decent trip. Put everything on teh card and pay it off! Little bit hassle but for a free trip worth it!

    Have a good trip.

A little tip Dave.... clear your browser cache and history before you go back to the same website.

Some websites set a cookie on your PC and know you have checked the ticket price, next time you return to the same section of that site they read / see the cookie from your PC and just increase the ticket price (to make it look like its selling out and get you to book there and then). Travel Sites are the worst at doing this...

    Or so I am told

Dial-a-flight quoted me £570 best price on Qantas last night.
Funny you should mention this, jack the lad, as per my post of last week. Though, not sure when you are travelling.

I didn't book the Qantas flight in the end due to the reason above but surprised Qantas came in the cheapest of the direct flights, as I've never considered them previously due to their extreme pricing.

I've flown Qantas direct before and good airline, prefer it when don't have BA plane on their code share though, good to see they are entering the competition market again with more realistic fares though :-)

AirAsia X are doing a promotion at the moment for flights from LGW to KUL for dates Dec to March
Just checked to see what was on offer as their deal is supposed to be from £259 (inc tax)
Well only tried a few dates, none were the £259 but found this, fly out 7th Feb return 28th Feb £268 (inc tax)
There is probably other add ons to include in this price like food and luggage, but it might be of intrest to someone.

Hi guys, booked from 23/2/12 to 3/4/12. I was amazed at the price as well as good flight times. I flew with Qantas a few years back, well pleased until they transfered us onto a British airways on our return flight @ bkk.

Yep, we had that as well JLT. We did know it was BA return but was not prepared for how dire the flight/service was. Won't say never again but would need to be a bloody good deal to get me on BA again.

I too would consider Qantas if the price was right and a direct one but usually out out of the directs they are the most expensive with their codeshare partner.

Anyway as most know I am a TG man
