Nice one James. It's a great feeling isnt it?!
Nice one James. It's a great feeling isnt it?!
Submitted 25th April - Email received this morning saying ready to collect in two working days.
That would mean that the waiting time has slipped back out to about 8 weeks, after a few applicants being dealt with in around 30-ish working days. Bad news for me, we applied on the 22nd of May, so if we fail in our application then we must re-apply and meet the new rules....not going to be easy!
Hi mate, am in the same position.. my wife submitted on 24th May i am sure it will be ok man try not to worry about it. To be honest the last 3 weeks have flown by!.. hope the other 3 - 5 weeks do.

It's just something we all have to do. I'll watch the movie 'Groundhog Day' in a different light after this though!
Good luck to everyone who is waiting.
Macdaddy, fingers crossed for you mate but I'm sure all will be fine. Keep us posted![]()
We applied 23rd of may, was really hoping it would only take 6 weeks too, gutted after logging on![]()
Still could happen i guess
Be interesting to see if we all get the sms on consecutive days or not though, our application is being delivered just hope it doesn't take too long, only realized recently that the SMS didn't tell you if it was a yes or a no
Good luck everyone
Dave
Hi Stevie,
In this forum is very quiet at the moment. How is your wife's settlement visa application? It seems no one here got any news. This is my week 8th and its very boring. My wife's application was submitted on 8th of May. Please let me know.
Thanks Ken![]()
Hi mate .
Submitted my wife's on 3 may . Haven't heard anything yet . Keep checking the emails and checking that tracking service and nothing . Bloody frustrating . Waiting all this time ! Will post as soon as something pops up !!! Aaaaregghhhhh hurry up embassy !!!!!
It's frustrating but these waiting times are normal this time of year.
As I've mentioned previously, there's a lot you can do to prepare for your respective wives impending arrival.
The tracking service is no good for nothing. It tells you when the application has been sent to the Embassy, usually thirty-seconds after you've left BKK VFS, and sends you a further message when your wife's passport is ready to collect or been posted. It's not really tracking, is it? It wouldn't be half as bad if you received a message mid-period to inform that the post-boy is taking your wife's application from the probationary ECO's office to the supervisor's office and he's stopped off for a cheeky ciggie in the first floor bogs.
cant be long now Stevie, hang in there mate
my wife submitted on the 24th May and i reckon we have another 4 weeks wait.. anything before then and she wont be able to come sooner anyway as she is doing a 150 hour massage course.. happy days when she gets here i can tell you!!
