They haven't had a crash for 14 years![]()
Has anyone flown with them recently (and have anything positive to say about the experience?) Sisaket, you were flying via Moscow and HK last year - how was it? I'm thinking about flying to Thailand via Moscow (never been and have a mate based there), and Seoul (Sunderland are playing in a pre-season tournament there. Those 2 legs plus a return via Moscow is coming in at about £700 for July, so would then just need to add a one-way from Seoul to Bangers, plus a couple of sidetrips to Phnom Penh and Malaysia for an action-packed month.
I noticed that Aeroflot don't serve alcohol on flights in and out of Bangkok but the photos on the website of their delicious food offerings should more than make up for that. Lots of good socialist root vegetables! Anyway, I know they haven't the best of reputations but they must have had to up their act a bit recently, surely?!?

I believe one of their affiliates blotted their copybook in 2008. After reading this, I wouldn't touch Aeroflot with a bargepole.
Phil.
"Good judgment comes from experience, and often experience comes from bad judgment."
I would rather have testicular cancer than visit Seoul again.
i suggest you look at the skytrax reports. The London/Moscow is likely to be better than the onward flight depending on which way you are travelling. Only one problem, its likely to be full of russians.
I remember flying on a russian aircraft years ago(not aeroflot) and found it rather amusing and far far far tooooooooo much cheap red wine consumed.
These days its likely to be an airbus......enjoy.
KLM/AF have been doing some promos recently ????????
see here for mixed reviews

Those of us who have enjoyed Jet Airways will say that the fly in ointment maybe be the transit airport but I understand that its a new terminal in Moscow.
So not even the prospect of watching Sunderland play football could entice you, Dan?
--- Update ---
Yes, as you say, VERY mixed!! Then again, there are a lot more positive comments than I expected. The bloke I know in Moscow reckons that Terminals D & E, which handle most of the long-haul stuff, are pretty good but if you're unlucky enough to have to go through Terminal F, a trouble-free journey is NOT guaranteed.
If the trip does happen, I suspect the prices will still win me over and I'll just hope for the best. Can't be any worse than some of the Thai bus journeys I've made!

me n Indigo thought they were ok , never had any problems ..... stayed in Moscow for 5 days on way out , transfered through to London from HK on way back , their Terminals are ok as well ....
we like Seoul and hope to go back in the future.... but never go to watch the unclean there ...lol ...
the in laws flew with China Airlines from BKK last time they went to Seoul (via Taiwan) that was a couple of years ago they were the best price at that time .... hope this helps a little ...my sister - in - law and hubby who live in Seoul normally fly Korean Airlines to Thailand...
I ve been to Russia a few times and always enjoyed it .... just a pain getting a visa , but Thai passports dont need a visa for Russia.
bangkok mags
I did Aeroflot 10 years ago. It was Khee. Horrible! They must have improved though. Expect the same Russian protocol in Moscow and in-flight. Rude!
Seoul to BKK is a fair old jaunt, 5+ hrs if I remember correctly. Korean airlines was nice though. They do a cheap twice daily to Phnom Pehn. Maybe you could hop to LOS from there.
Judging others before you have met isn't a wise option.
I'm sure it means something different in Russian but it's nickname "Aeroflop" must come from ex passengers.
