Default CP Authentic Asia on sale at Morrisons

I remember CP Foods being a major business in Thailand but hadn't seen their ready meal type foods on sale here. They are available under the Authentic Asia brand, according to their website via Macro, Costco and Morrisons and it was at the latter that I noticed them yesterday. Even then it was only because they were in the bargain section of the frozen foods area, reduced to £1.00 per pack, allegedly from a RRP of £2. Bought a couple to try and they were really nice, certainly at that price. One was a fairly standard 'hot & spicy' king prawns, sold as 'Bangkok Firecracker Prawns' with a nice sweet chilli/plum sauce (about 15 for £1) but the one I was really pleased with, as it was one of my favourite food court dishes in Thailand, was the 'King Prawn Wonton Soup with Noodles' which was pretty much how I remembered it. Very tasty.

I'm off to empty the freezer in our local branch soon.

If Morrisons are stocking it only a matter of time until Tesco and Asda join in as in my local Asda the oriental brands aisle is expanding rapidly with the other Euro stuff (i.e. Italian) reducing in size.
Mind you I can't see chicken feet etc appearing in the standard UK supermarkets anytime soon

That would be excellent though, wouldn't it, an 'authentic Asian market' section with buckets of live fish flopping about and loads of unidentifiable animal body parts piled up with flies buzzing all over them?

Agreed, col. Not sure the British public are ready for the humane clubbing of the fish on head.
