Talking of Harvesting things, i cut the grass today and noticed in the back garden i appear to have grown some poppies. Now two things i know for certain are i have not planted any poppy seeds and no Afghans have been round here recently.

Anyone know the recipe for making Opium ?

    It's £53.99 a bottle online (fragrance direct . com)

    Have you tried ebay ?

Back to this thread ... Have you not been to Birmingham airport with your tape measure ? I would have thought you would have checked to see if the runway is long enough for the A380 ?

They also need special docking gates never mind long runways handyman hence a lot of airports worldwide can't accomodate such planes apparantly, LHR can but not sure about Brum.

According to this document produced by the Department of Transport Birmingham can accommodate aircraft of all sizes, up to and including the A380.

My argument with a Mistra Know it all on another forum was that the Runway needed to be extended to allow the A380 to take off with a full payload (500 passengers +)

Could I ask, what are Thai currently using on LHR to BKK. It's been a while since I've flown with them. The kids insist on seat back entertainment.

Last Time I went 747-400 out 3 seats to myself. Airbus back tight as.

What ever you do avoid the very last seat at the back you are in front of the loo and the flushing makes sleeping very difficult.

Cheers for the info. guys. So the old 747's are definitely history on that route? We will be travelling in December so I need to book Thai or Eva soon to get the right dates.

Not long now, although I believe London is not first in the que to get this bad boy.

To be honest, if the seating is anything like Singapores a380s, Id rather not bother. The most uncomfortable plane ive ever been on.

Don't worry Thai Airways have no plans to use the A380 on the LHR-BKK route.
