Yes the Recruitment Agencies are not recruiting themselves and a lot are cutting the staff (we insure quite a lot and on their renewal forms it asks staffing numbers which are declining)

Years ago now I remember reading that in the current labour market a person should anticipate five different careers in one's work life. It turned out that way in my case. You are still young, Toddmeister, and it seems you need a challenge, other than getting married, that is. Not all my jobs were lucrative but I never regreted going to work in the morning because the work was always interesting and I had to do my best on every assignment. No slacking off. Death by boredom is a fate worse than death.

Of course I wish you luck as you prepare to navigate the next part of your life, and with a bit of patience and a strong sense of survival, you ought to do more than you dream is possible.

In my limited experience, being married to Ploy has meant that 1+1 >> 2 whereas for my first marriage (to an English girl) 1+1 < 2. Why not look to do something together that would enable you both to move to and work in Thailand, if that is what you wish to do. There are opportunities here if you come with the right skills.

Thanks Dan, Ideally we could start some kind of business together over here, whilst at the same time retraining. It's just finding that idea The search continues.

If I was looking to change direction I would give Gasafe Boiler Repair man a good coat of looking at.
They charge £40 pounds for a 15 min check and a bit of paper to say yes your gas equipent is Safe to use.
Had by boiler fixed last Oct. Cheapest quote was British Gas over £100 No parts fitted only pushed a scewdriver down a plastic tube to clear a blockage. Its not what you do its what you know.
I also had a house that I lett. The tennant had a Fire and the place was gutted Did me one big favor Had it all done up on Insurance and sold it. Make sure you have Good Insurance if you lett property
