i am thinking of going on a cheap and cheerfully break to either majorca or ibiza with my wife and daughter, reading the posts on here it seems a Spanish schengan is hard to get, would a french one suffice? i live in blackpool can it all be done by post.

It might be of interest - this week my wife and I received our passports back from my wife's postal Schengen application to the German Embassy.
There is now no direct application to the German Embassy. You guessed it, as of June 6, all applications are through our friends at VFS. Yee haa. The visa is still technically free for those married to EU nationals but VFS charge a small processing fee of £18.![]()
