A ladies anger

Married pensioner, 77, beaten to death 'by his younger Thai lover after he changed his will to leave her £340,000.

Silly woman, should have taken the old boy to Thailand, then got him to change his will in Thailand, batter him over head till he's dead, pay the police off and she would have been ok, but she didn't and will spend some time in a lovely UK prison!

Commentators in posts on this subject and also the Thai Visa version appear to be Judge Jury and executioner all rolled up in to one big lynch mob!

I do wish that there was an automatic pause button before a post could be posted together with a message that simply said :

" Before you post your post would you wish to think for a few minutes in a more balanced and fair way that would not give the impression that you know more than the police, more than the Judge and had been aware of the persons mind set at the time of the alleged crime"

As an after thought it seems to me the the forum seems to be going a bit down hill just recently and threads like this can be seen so easily in the news of the world type publications or indeed Thai Visa or Teak door.

There seems to be some kind of bitter cynical attitude creeping into threads like these as though they sort of welcome anything that adds weight to the narrow minded mindset that would be common in the tap rooms of pub or bars anywhere in the world where the Barracks room lawyer type seems to know some one who has been ripped off by a Thai woman or other such nonsense!

Let us on this forum because we should know better, not add weight to anything that brings Thai ladies into disrepute, there are enough jealous Westerners in the UK doing that and we do not want to further their cause now do we!

A good phrase at this time would be " There go I by the grace of God" !

Am eloquent post Harv and I know you have me badged as one of those that you comment about but I am sorry I just don't see that there is ANY excuse for an individual taking another's life, WHATEVER the circumstances.

If you don't like the situation WALK AWAY!

ANYTHING is better than taking a life, unless you get caught doing it then it's HANG 'EM HIGH and save the taxpayer £38k/year

Seems to me that the list of non-discussed / censored topics is increasing with each new forum member.

ok having now read the article.. the most interesting thing to me is that why someone with the name Mr Norfolk would live in Suffolk. Fair enough he was probably born in Suffolk.. but did he not realise that there is an adjoining county called Norfolk, which anyone who has never been to east anglia should know is much nicer. I have seen bad things happen in Suffolk.. even saw a crop circle there once, but thats another story.. i will admit that i never felt like murdering a pensioner for £340k though.

although Suffolk would appear on the face of it to be a "safe county" Norfolk is better.. i mean "safer" with there being less crime.

To conclude had Mr Norfolk lived in Norfolk there would have been less chance of him being killed by a crime and he could still be with us today.

RIP Mr Norfolk from Suffolk. I did read the article and I'm not sure who was more stupid, Mr Norfolk or Ms Rimmer. Mr Norfolk changed his will to leave all his estate to Ms Rimmer rather than his wife, but his wife has dementia, the story does not say if Mr Norfolk had any children, Ms Rimmer has allegedly bashed Mr Norfolk on the head 12 times and killed him!

I appreciate this subject might be important to you, or close to your heart, but it might also be clouding your judgement and making you jump to conclusions about the thoughts and opinions of others.

If she has admitted the crime and then stated diminished responsibility that is the words of a lawyer so she will get a lesser sentence then deported to LOS which is maybe where she wanted to go if the abuse thing actually happened but as in all similar crimes whether here or in LOS there is usually more to it than originally reported.
