Default Teach me Thai in Nottingham?

I spend 4 holidays a year over in Thailand and feel it is about time I learnt the language and surprised my girlfriend when I se her next I am trying!

Is there anyone in the Notts / Derbys area that would be interested in helping me learn the language - I am not interested at this stage in reading or writing Thai - just listening and speaking!

You can always do it online via Skype.

Here is one of the better places I have found. About £80 to sign up and 400 baht per hour paid to your teacher. Way cheaper than a teacher in the UK.

I also had a Thai language course on DVDs for Christmas.

Speak Thai volumes One and Two.

£80 to sign up with Thai style seems a bit steep?

    Cheers...

I have nothing to do with Thai Style but the teacher is only £8 an hour. Try to get that in the UK. The last time I looked for a UK teacher it was $25 an hour. I didn’t think 80 quid was cheap either.

To confirm, after registration a Skype teacher in Thailand is actually 300 THB per hour, roughly £6 per hour.

I would also like to confirm what you get for the registration fee. There is a LOT we provide to help you learn Thai. We support the entire learning process and provide all the learning materials for your classes and self study; worksheets, audio, video, quizzes, access to a learn Thai blog, lifetime support and access to any teacher in the UK, Thailand, USA or Singapore. We also train and support our teachers to ensure they understand how to teach effectivly. In the long run, if you are serious about learning Thai, the £80 one-off payment is very cheap for all of the lifetime services and learning materials we provide. Please read more on our website to better understand how we can help you learning Thai and how we support local teachers and help them teaching Thai. Thanks everyone for your interest!

There are some free Thaistyle vids on youtube - the ones on learning consonants and vowels are brilliant

I would really consider paying for their services!
