    Default Translation please

Hi all. Completely new to the website. Been having trouble trying to translate a text message from gf in Thailand. I promised her I would understand it if she wrote it in Thai and I would get it translated.

    Lol Thaddeus.

    Translation ...

Pawn (assuming พร is a name), send picture of her car to me

Incidentally, อี (ee) when talking about a lady is either referring to someone she knows very very well, or is impolite

My wife's nickname at work was อีเหี่ยว ee hiaao - wrinkly lady, lol, not something you'd take kindly from a stranger

You two haven't a clue have you? The translation is:

Providence sent a car that 's a bit like a swivel.

Well, that's what Google Translate says. Now I remember why I never use it!

When I began studying Thai in Bangkok for an academic year, I was taught that there are 44 consonants and 32 vowels. Learning to read and write Thai script seems daunting but is well worth it as it helps with speaking and listening. It soon becomes easy to recognise letters and common words. I remember beginning by reading car number plates, headlines in the Thai version of the Metro free newspaper and then the ads on the BTS.

"Porn, please send a photo of that person's car"
