Default Settlement Visa 93 working days and counting!

We have now been waiting for 93 working days since Sheffield acknowledged receipt of all documentation (15th May).
I've called the call centre number 3 times. 29th August to enquire "what's the delay" given that I paid over £700 for the "Priority" service and that the published time frame was 60 working days - it was already 74 working days. They sent me an email questionnaire which I completed and returned within 20 minutes. Told our application would be passed to the Escalation Team and that it could take up to 15 working days to be processed.
Two weeks later I called again to see if there was any news. Told to check emails for the Final Decision which should be through within "a couple of days".
    That was a Tuesday.
Heard nothing so called again on the following Monday to be advised that apparently, my email of 29th August had NOT been actioned and sent to Escalation Team.
Told that it would be marked as urgent and given a 24 hour priority request.
One week later and I still haven't heard a word.
What the hell does one do ??????

Speak to your MP? See if they can get it prioritised?

Also demand a refund (good luck with that) as you have clearly not received the "priority" service you paid for.

We are 6 working weeks into this now - my adviser said that 6 weeks was the normal turnaround for the priority cases. Was beginning to get hopeful that we might get an answer soon but after reading this I think I'd be happy if we got it before xmas!

Just got this text from VFS - "The processed application for GWFXXXX was ready to pick up at VFS on 10.10.17".

Has anyone had a text like this before? A bundle of nerves now, we purchased the courier service so should be delivered to my good lady wife soon. I just wondered if there was any indication this is good or bad news. ❇❇❇❇ing terrified to be honest.

You get no indication at all about the outcome.

Not many spouse visas are rejected and as long as you put a good application together it will be fine. Relax!

Cheers mate, trying to relax but I've heard so many horror stories it's difficult! They didn't contact me, my wife or my visa advisor to ask any questions- I am hoping that is a good sign.
