Leo for me, it has a cleaner, smoother taste than the others.
If you're offended by any assistance I give, it says far more about you than it does me.

As I settle down to watch Silent Witness at 9.00.pm (excellent series by the way) I shall be drinking a bottle of Singha .... one of a case of 24 bought recently from Wing Yip!

Much cheaper buying it by the box.

Dan&Ploy ..... congratulations on hitting the 1000 post mark.

Unfortunately you can no longer get Carlsberg in Thailand - otherwise it would get my vote!

Just in case anyone from carlsberg reads this - how about it?

According to my expat mate Carlsberg did something odd a while back hence not available in LOS although plenty of beer mats/umbrella's/ash trays still about similar to not being able to buy Marlboro at the Airport but available "under cover" in shops etc.

Maybe Mr Maokaang can throw some light on this?

    Anyway I also voted Singha

The pedant in me wants to point out that 4 of the beers listed are not Thai, but merely available in Thailand,or not in the case of Carlsberg.

Amarit used to be a tasty drop, but alas nowhere to be found now and sourcing a bottle of "Black Tiger" was always worth the hunt.

    What about-
    Lion
    Super lion
    Archa
    Cheers
    Singha Light
    Singha Gold
    Phuket
    Klassik (one I've never had)
    Beer Sanak
    Beer Kao Gao

and a couple of popular imports
    San Miguel
    Kloster

Leo for me, Guess you knew that anyway.
Archa and cheers are as rough as Chang, has to be the worst beer in Thailand, terrible stuff, and gives you a headache (all 3)
Must admit though I have moved to the small cans, as its easier to finish than a bottle, Once you open a bottle you know you have to finish it no matter what, It's against the law to leave any.

I gave up drinking alcohol a few years ago - one of the best decisions I ever made - so would like to vote for the teetotal option. I wonder how many others on this site also don't drink?

Leo for me every time, as Keith says, a much smoother cleaner taste than the others.

When the Leo's gone, straight onto the Sang Som!

    Cheers

Roly, you're right. There are several beers not included. In my inebriated state at the time of setting the poll, I could only think of those listed, plus Old Titty which came from my befuddled imagination.

Perhaps someone should set up a full and accurate list in a new poll. Still,it's only a bit of fun, though I am nontheless delighted to see Singha comfortably in the lead.

I prefer Heineken...as voted..but i,ll normally drink anything put in front of me.
I,ve tried all of the aforementioned 'popular' beers..and they've all entered and exited by the same route without any notable differences

It's OK as it is johnb. It gives a flavour of popularity at the moment.
As you know, many thais will drink imported beer,if trying to impress (as it's more expensive). This was always Heineken, until about 5 years ago when Tiger was the beer of choice. San Miguel and its variants are now popular.
I suspect up country, that more Chang is drunk than Singha, on cost grounds.

Agree with that Roly, especially when supplying villagers for a re-union.

Leo is my choice now, especially since the change in Singha.

Can you grow proper apples in LOS? I might start a cider press!
