    Dan,

wish you'd get on to the kit that I keep on needing (okay wanting)! Just been researching and bought a car radio, amazing the difference between costs of Pioneer, Sony, JVC and my choice. Could be an opening?

We had plans to do some audio stuff but in our dicussions we realised that I was doing that more for my own interest and than for commercial reasons. Audio is a very difficult market to sell in, so much hocus-pocus in it (on behalf of the reviewers and so called experts). We are planning to sell our test equipment in the next few weeks and just concentrate on video.

Judging by his blog, he is. Latest was a piece about footy. I think he has chosen to pass on this forum, but I hope not permanently?

He logs in and reads the forum very regularly, including this afternoon.

Well it would certainly be nice to see him posting again, but not on football!

Oh right fair enough, have just read his blog, I do enjoy his writing and his humour. Think I must have missed why he fell out with the forum, but must have been a reason, I think sometimes its easy to get carried away when we post on internet forums and forget that actually people are only here to pass the time, make some friends and maybe have laugh and offer people some advice from our experiences and noone really wants to deal with any kind of confrontation

Hope things are always on the up for Dan & Ploy now, but would be nice to see some updates and his eloquence on the forum

aha, you may not have accounted for the devil and the angel from the old Tom and Jerry cartons, go on, go on, go on, post Dan. (I had to cut down on the go on, go on, go on, even though I am in Ireland).

Sometimes it's good to take a 'sabbatical' from things and I am sure that's what Dan has done.
Judging others before you have met isn't a wise option.

No need to worry about Dan, he's doing just fine.

While Dan his on a 'sabbatical', his book has been published and is now available for purchase: http://booksmango.com/downloads/home-thoughts-man/

I think this part of his preface says what his book is all about:

    On Tuesday 24th
February 2004, on the same day when 564
people died in an earthquake in Morocco and despite having lived
all of my previous 46 years in England, I left Britain for
    Singapore.

    On Sunday 20th
September 2009 (the same day that Toni
Collette won the Emmy for outstanding lead actress in a comedy
series) and having lived and worked for six years abroad in both
Singapore and Canada, I emigrated to Thailand, intending that
country to be the one in which I saw out my days.

This is a collection of some thoughts as I travelled from
country to country, always glancing back over my shoulder at my
    country of birth.
