My step-daughter has lost her passport. She is currently in Thailand. Can she get a replacement passport from the issuing authority or will she have to order a completely new passport.
Thanks in advance for any advice offered.

Andy.

She will have to report her lost passport to the Royal Thai Police (http://www.police.go.th/trenglish.htm) and then apply for a new passport (http://www.mfa.go.th/web/474.php) from the Office of Passport Division (http://www.mfa.go.th/web/473.php).

The police report can also be made at the police stationed at the Head Office of the Office of Passport Divison.

Vinny thanks for the reply. Is there no chance of a passport replacement? Rather than a completely new passport?

A brand-new passport will be issued to replace her lost one. They (http://www.mfa.go.th/web/473.php) may endorse it (perhaps upon her request), stating that her previous passport had been reported lost.
