my wife applies for the settlement visa in jan, what do i have to do with my passport, i will be in the uk, do i have to supply my passport, and i have read somewhere on this site about, the passport being certified by a notary solicitor. can someone explain excatly what i need to do,or not, cheers andy

hi andy if u go to ur local solicitor and ask they should photo copy every page and they will certifie it for you , prices varie last one i had done was a fiver :thumb: but asking at a coulple could be worth it as i have seen in previous post can cost lots more ,, no need to send origanal passport but if u had old passport i would guess u would send that with it,

The s/v application needs to include a copy of your passport with every page certified a true copy including the blank pages (we had front and back done as well to make certain)

Costs vary but we paid £25 to have done in uk!

THANKS EVERYONE AGAIN!!!!!!, my solicitor will do it for £15. ill colour copy every page, and take it there. andy
