Good footballer 34 far too young.
Dean Richards, Bradford City, Wolves, Southampton, Spurs. Passed away today aged 36 after battling a serious illness.
Dean had been forced to retire 6 years ago after suffering from dizzy spells and headaches.
I saw Dean play for Wolves for 4 years, he was an excellent footballer, he only left to join Southampton because we had failed to attain the premier league football that he deserved.
We had to let him go for nothing at the end of his contract.
Southampton sold him to Spurs for 8 million !!
RIP Dean Richards

36 Millie!
Apparently the Spurs v Wolves game next Sunday will be a tribute match to the young man.
Yes. A very sad loss at such a young age.

Although not a celebrity himself but his legacy will be remembered with affection by many of us oldies. All done with a TV monitor and a box of matches eh? Who needs all this new-fangled HD,LCD,3D,LED,HSBC nonsense!
Found a dead pigeon in my back garden last night, probably murdered by the next door neighbours cat,"Millie".
Recently Millie raided the fishpond 2 doors up and stole one of Sian and Simons Koi Carp.
My neighbour told me about this but asked me not to say anything as they have no idea it was Millie. There are 3 other cats around here so they are all suspects.
Steve, I realise there is a tenuous link between "obituary" and "dead pigeon", but are you sure you've not been overdoing the sauce? Never mind, as the writer of your signature lyrics once wrote - " Can't complain, mustn't grumble, help yourself to another piece of apple crumble". His birthday was yesterday (53). March 1958 was obviously a vintage month.![]()
Do you know that The Invasion (1968), Mind of Evil (1971) and Battlefield (1989) the full series of each has been available free on thebox.bz for the last week. Maybe a bit late now as I think they will be replaced with something else later this morning. However I have the full downloads.
You're right John, gone from thebox.bz this morning. I managed to bag the first two, but had a bit trouble with Battlefield. I'm happy with that though, the early ones are the best as far as I'm concerned. Although still good, my interest waned a bit after Peter Davison.
I don't mind burning them onto a couple of DVDs together with 7 Periods with Mr Gormsby (just enough room)..download recently from the empire.. and posting to one person here in Thailand...then maybe they could post the DVDs to anyone else who would like them..and so on.
So if anyone wants just ask
Reached a good age. Well known actor by face, if not name. Michael Gough.

Wonder who it will be tommorrow? Mr Gadaffi maybe

Amazing isn't it. Last week the UN were talking about a no fly zone now we (Britain involved as usual despite the fact we are a skint nation) are involved in a massive bombing and missile attack against a "tyrant" yet we have never done anything to stop Mugabe murdering thousands and thousands of his people.
Gaddafi will find sanctuary elsewhere before appearing in this obituary thread.
