If you travel business class BA have half price tickets LHR-BKK return in August/Sept for just less than 1300 pounds incl taxes. Might be of interest to some members.

Just booked with Etihad for a return ticket to Bangkok. 16 days in Thailand... A bargain in my eyes... The trip is in August, booked through netflights.com! A short wait in Abu Dhabi, but as most of you probably know, it's a nice airport and it's pretty well positioned half way for a fag break!

    Flight details: Flight cost:
    London Heathrow to Bangkok £557.79
    Insurance details: Insurance cost:
    Adult aged 18-64 Single Trip W-Wide ex US/Can/Carib 11-17 Days £20.00
    Extra details: Extra cost:
    Airline Failure Protection £3.49
    Handling Fee £14.53

    Total Basket amount£595.81

Maybe VA are only available through certain agents but can't see why if their trying to break into the UK - SE Asia routes and at the prices they seem to advertise

Flight Centre seemed like a waste of time to me. The cheapest they could offer me the exact same Etihad flight was £775 at first... This was before I found it on SkyScanner... So I paid £50 deposit, thinking that was a bargain... When I found the flight for under £600 I told them they could keep the deposit... So they offered me the flight at £675, but couldn't go any lower. They said I should book the flight with SkyScanner as 'they could not see that price actually existing...' So I did!

So, you booked with Netflights through Skyscanner, right ?

Agree with your sentiments on Etihad, excellent airline and airport in Abu. Good price too i think.

Nige, that was just Boris' reaction to the bus strike
    "You're so unapproachable!"
    "And yet, here you are."

put my postcode (NE40 4PR) into it and it more or less stops at my door, the "Thai Spirit House" in the garden gives it away what one is mine !!

Going and returning to and from Gatwick with Emirates for 3 weeks end of august. I had two of these flight centre and Globe hunters agents searching while i was also on line and B/ham flights were £70 a head more.the was a deal with Ethiade but they couldnt get the confirmation of them.
So next question, can any one recomend any good reliable Gatwick parking?
