Yes I'm applying for unmarried partner visa as we have been living together for nearly 3 years in Thailand.

Well I wrote to my MP to vent my spleen about these changes and told him the story of how we met, my visits to Thailand over the last 2 years, our marriage and Tia's 3 month visit to UK last year, he wrote back to me and asked when was her settlement visa refused? We have never applied for one, nor did anything in my letter suggest we had. I mentioned we had NOT applied due to me earning less than £18,600 and asking for his support in overturning the threshold, seems he can't read, no wonder this country is in a mess....... He did offer to write to the UKBA (yes he dis still call it that) on our behalf, though goodness knows what for. Oh well, I'll write back to him and point out we never applied.

Good luck Pete as it seems to me that most MP's who vote on these new regulations know less about them than Joe public

So, according to Vinny's link it appears the Home Office appeal in the Court of Appeal is to be heard between 3 and 5 March 2014. Judgment is likely to come some time after that. I wonder if there will be an application to refer this matter to Europe?
