That's good. So from Birmingham we will now have an alternative to Emirates.

And a very good alternative too Wolfy.... Tis' my 5* airline of preference, for the exceedingly good privilege member benefits…. If only they made cakes, I would be a very happy (but increasingly large) bunny!

They are excellent and have flown with them a few times and I would be more than happy to travel with them all the time but last few trips I was looking at them and they have gone way to expensive.

Terrible (for me) as I find it hard to sleep on planes (light sleeper) and so a good entertainment system is a must. Lufthansa didn't have one it was an old plane and just had a small screen up on the roof which only showed the flight details map thingy.
Bored stiff and would not choose to use them again unless absolutely pushed in to it.

We are all different and to be honest the in flight stuff is irrelevant to me apart from the food/drink service as I usually have the the TG night flight so get on, drink, eat and more drink, ignore movie and read book with a few visits to hong nam and a couple of cans of Singha from the back galley then sleep and wake up somewhere over the bay of Bombay

OK, there is one (very small) thing about Qatar that I don’t like….. at some point in the journey, they come around with (what I believe they describe as) a sandwich wrap and a chocolate biscuit.

It (the sandwich wrap) is one of the most sick making experiences of my life, chicken and chickpea and other stuff heated in a thin chewy pitta bread substance all contained in a heated cardboard outer box. It is dire!

The chocolate biscuit is a very poor imitation of a 6 year old wagon wheel, without a mellow filling, covered in a dry darkish, cheap chocolate.

The good news is that you can have as much liquid refreshments as you like to get rid of the taste!

I note on every flight that there are always lots of half eaten sandwiches returned when they collect the rubbish….. don’t you think they would learn???

Apart from that, they are still my airline of choice, and really very good.

I don't like their colour scheme. Dull grey and a bit of maroon.

Apart from that they are way up there in my league of favourites.

Not flown with any of the Indian Airlines yet but i understand they have introduced a "Super Economy" ticket...
