    Default settlement visa times

    hi does anybody know the average waiting time for a settlement visa we put all the paper work in seven weeks ago I have spoke to my employer and know body has been in touch from the embassy to check if I work there I have had 2 family vistor visa before and they come through very fast and is there any way we can chase it up to see how far along it is

    There could be a possible delay due to the £18,600 finance ruling. The UKBA say some applications may be delayed until this is settled.
    My company were not contacted when Nok applied so don't take that as a gauge.

    The Embassy seem to be taking an average of 12 weeks at the moment to process settlement visa applications. They are unlikely to contact your employer if all the required information has been supplied.
