Default Number of permitted entries on Marriage Visitor's Visa...?

    Good afternoon/evening,

Does anyone know how many entries you are typically allowed on a Marriage Visitor's Visa? Last time my girlfriend came as a General Visitor and got six months multiple entry.

She would only be coming for a few nights in the UK before we head off to Italy for three months.

Thank you very much in advance.

It seems to me BertieTBE that if your lady is granted a Spouse visa which If I remember correctly were given only for a period of six months (You had to be married in that six months or leave the UK)

I remember John who was the Visa expert on the forum answering a similar question and I am sure that unless there were compelling compassionate reasons for a second arrival within the six month validity of the Spouse visa then the said Visa was for a single entry only.

I could be wrong but to give Multi entry on a Spouse Visa that is only six months in the first place would be against the spirit of the reason for entry and illogical ,unless of course, as I said there were compelling compassionate reasons for allowing a second entry to the UK.

Harv Bertie is applying for a 'marriage visit visa' not a spouse visa different animal !!

I am guessing that if you ask for multi entry with justification then you might get multi entry but logic suggests that typically only one entry would be needed to get married. so who knows!!
