.... does NOT appear on the Home Office's list of recognised English tests and qualifications?!?

Am I missing something here? The Cambridge International GCSE English as a First Language is on there, and applicants don't even need to have gained a Grade C.

So someone (my son) who has been taught IN English for the last 18 years, both in Thailand and the UK, and has a GCSE Grade C, but hasn't completed his degree yet (which would also qualify him) will have to gain an additional worthless qualification in addition to the ludicrous Life In The UK test?!?
