    Dear Richard,

You don't sell anything, your aim is to book appointments for sales people with executives of companies in Thailand.
But the role requires business to business sales experience.

    Regards
    Anna

But what does your client do? Even the the appointment makers must have to at least "sell" the concept to potential leads.

Edit: your client is a management consultant so the appoint makers will be pushing the concept to businesses in Thailand right?

Exactly, the company is an international British Management Consultancy Company.

The appointment maker shall convince the client that at the end the company will save them millions in bottom line benefits via continuous improvement, change management, implementation of systems and tools.

The sales team and consultants in Thailand will attend the meetings.

They will save "millions" but can't book an appointment?

Everyone has a role in an organisation. And members of that department expected to sell the idea that the client needs consultancy services.

I actually think Anna is being quiet honest here, it's about about convincing a client that they need something even if they actually don't.

For example if they want to achieve ISO certification and the company doesn't have the in-house know how to implement management control systems that most importers i.e. HACCP demand I assume Anna's company would provide that info' in a report, together with a summary and action plan. We had to deal with external consultants all the time in my previous life.

To be honest within the NHS they told us next to nothing we didn't already know however the UK Government insists on external appraisals......given the amount of safeguards western/US company's have to put in place before importing it probably would pay a Thai exporter to cross their T's & dot their I's if they don't have the in-house knowledge....just my opinion.

    Good point Andy.

To the OP nothing was clear from the original post.

To get that kind of sales lead ; to get consultants in to a business that does not have consultants needs a telesales person with a very specific skill set and nowhere in your add did you set out exactly what employee needs to achieve. It was a generic add.

To enter the Thai business market.......

    You might need a consultant.

    Richard

    I might be available
