    Default Excellent Postal Service from Thai Embassy in London

    Not sure if it is the norm but I have just received excellent service via the Thai Embassy in London for a Tourist Visa.

    Form downloaded from here.
    - £35 Postal Order (£25 for visa + £10 Admin/Return postal fee)
    - £4.38 fee for Postal Order
    - £7.25 fee to send passport by Royal Mail Special Delivery
    Total Cost £46.63

    Sent on 05/10/16
    Application received 06/10/16
    Processed and returned 07/10/16
    Received 08/10/16
    I'm ONE of the 52%

    Gary - my memory's going, how long does a Tourist Visa give you 60 or 90 Days ?

    I didn't realise they still issued Postal Orders. Is that the only payment option?

    Hard to believe in an age where people are paying for services with their mobile phones that postal orders still exist and it appears to be the only option at the embassy

    I was just as surprised Mr T, although they have moved on a bit from the last time I bought one when they used to look like this.

    They are now basically the same as a cheque that can either be crossed or not, and the name and amount was computer printed on by the PO staff (name can be done by hand if you want).

    Is that the only payment option?
    For postal applications yes it is.
