Default 5 year Visit visa new passport

Hi Guys, my Thai partner has a 5-year visit visa with two years remaining, he has just renewed is the current passport, does he need to get the visa transferred or he just shows both passports at immigration, and will the airlines be happy with that. Many thanks in advance, John

Yes, there will be an Immigration record that the officer will see on arrival, but to avoid denied boarding the visa must be produced at check in.
