I'll never forget how well behaved Thai kids were on a local bus going home. The bus went off the main road along dusty tracks but the atmosphere was so friendly it was well worth experiencing.

Not disputing Thai kids are well behaved generally although I have seen badly behaved kids as well just the same as in Europe UK and also Africa.
Kids are kids Thai or otherwise

You don't have to pay for everything.

Nigel, next time your passing the Pak Chong/Khao Yai turn off on Highway 2, take the 2090 to Khao Yai - about 3km up there you will come to a set of lights - the first one. Go just through the lights and pull up immediately. There's a bar/restaurant there on the left called Eat Khao Yai. Very good (but not cheap) food and they have a very large selection of imported beers.
