Default Will Thai Embassy post out passports?

My wife went to the Embassy mobile service in Birmingham recently to renew her passport. I assumed that they would either post it out to us or send them all to the Thai Temple in Birmingham where they ran the mobile service but my wife is saying that we need to go to the Embassy in London to collect it.

Is this correct? I recall that some years ago they insisted on personal collection but I thought they would post them out nowdays. Has anyone had theirs returned by post recently?

My kids passport got sent to us but I think it is because we paid for it to be sent and also did the same when I applied for my 60 day visa.

I would call them. I wouldn't bother emailing them as they never reply.

Thanks, I'll get my wife to contact them. I've never had much luck phoning them as they never answer There must be some way to communicate with them.
