You can get a CD which she can listen to..£9.99 I think..There is also a Facebook page....Has she got the Thai language book for LITUK test..?
This test seems to be much harder than the B1 test because the language is so much more difficult.
Look on Youtube too and plenty of free test sites. My wife is doing test after test and memorising the answers. passing early every one now.
still learning the alphabet here, seems like a mountain to climb.... good luck
It is a mountain to climb but much easier than a Brit learning the Thai alphabet. A lot easier.
44 consonants, 20+ vowels, tones and one thing I didn’t know until I started learning is that many Thai letters are totally pronounced differently depending whether they are at the beginning of a word and when they are at the end of a word.
i have got both books for the misses thail/english version but i think doing the test online is the best way .
My misses hasnt passed yet but as soon as i give her 3 months notice im sure she up the anti.
What i have noticed is that most British fail anyway but if they was to do the test again 1 day later then they would breeze through it maybe getting 7 wrong were as a thail that figure could be double 14 wrong thats were the study comes in ,
On a plus note most women dont like throwing money away unless it involves a dress or pair of shoes .i keep trying to explain to my wife i dont care if you know all henrys wives just get the question right .TICK THE BOX .

plus on a note if she doesnt it cost you almost £2500 to get FLR again plus the hassell in 2 and half years again so looking at that if you said you have 10 goes at doing it and pass i be happy .
There is a facebook group and they post the questions. My wife learnt the answers to the questions and passed first time .Its called life in the UK test web group.
Every day we had a quiz at home when she asked me questions and i answered. After a while she knew the correct answers. It sounds bonkers but it worked for her and 2 Thai mates and 2 Filipinos we know.
of course, there is no language requirement to settle in Thailand though
My Mrs just passed on Friday thank god. 3rd time lucky. She speaks passable English and her reading is very poor. She learnt by literally listening to all the questions and writing them in a book phonetically in Thai. She memorised about 400 questions in 2 weeks then I booked her 4 exams in a row. Hard graft for her but it really paid off. So don't dispair it is possible!
She used this site: https://lifeintheuktests.co.uk/life-in-the-uk-test/
My own efforts to get my wife to read the book have failed on numerous occasions. Currently on her third FLRM which expires in Jan I've told her I'm not doing another FLRM so she has no choice but to pass over the coming months ????
She recently started learning with a Thai tutor she found through a Facebook group. She is tutored via Skype calls. She was also sent study material by email broken down into chapters and lots of exercises/exams to work through whilst she's on the calls. She is also doing lots of practice tests in her own time with an app. My wife says she's paid £200 for 6 weeks of tutoring. I'm not entirely sure of the structure or how it works but she says she can join a group chat every day or just a few times a week depending on how much she wants to. So she gets as much or as little tuition as she wants within the 6 week time frame.
I was sceptical at first but one thing for sure is that I've never seen my wife so determined to learn/pass so it'll be money well spent if her own approach can get a result.
Toddmeister, we were going to do that same thing if she failed the 3rd time. they're probably on the same group on Facebook lol. You've probably read my previous reply in this thread but my Mrs did the first 15 exams on that website in order to pass the real deal. A lot of people on the website say they mostly get questions from the first 15 on there
I must know over 50 people who have been living (and some working) in Thailand for 10 years or more who have never taken any language tests
Not staying there legally then. The comparison in the uk is the fellas in the kitchens of kebab shops in Bradford not having done the lituk exam but still being here for 10 years and not a word of english
Hi Everyone Lek passed her Life in the UK test on Friday in Birmingham. She practised with the free Thai/ English book which we have as a pdf on her tablet and repeatedly taking the free tests online and memorising the Q&As. If any one wants a copy of the pdf let me know and i'll email to you.
Steve
Well done to Lek. I have been playing with the tests with my wife and I an Englishman have fail most of the time. Managed 62 % the other day. What chance for my wife? Think she will be staying on her Thai passport.
