    Default Thai passport

My wife travels to Thailand 21st August and returns 4th September her passport expires September 20th she intends to renew while she is in Thailand. Will she have a problem with not having 6 months on her passport when travelling out and will she be ok to return with a new passport number

I've been told it is even possible to travel to Thailand on an expired Thai passport, but I wouldn't recommend it. Best to check with the airline in question.

Yes OK to return on a new passport. My wife has done that in the past.

She will have absolutely no problems.

Yes I was told that was possible, but only with a direct flight and probably only Thai Airways, EVA Air maybe.

People don't need six months validity on their passport when travelling to their own country.
