Default Shengen for spain ILR in old passport

    Morning.

My step daughter aged 20 has ILR in an old passport, has not had biometrics done she is looking at a holiday to canaries.

Will she be able to get a Shenghen visa with the ILR in an old passport?

    Thanks

I would doubt it very much.
If you're offended by any assistance I give, it says far more about you than it does me.

I would say yes .my opinion.could be wrong ,of coarse the old passport would have to be updated and maybe a brp card obtained .

Anyone have a definitive answer? She's not too keen on Turkey?

I would of thought she will need to transfer the ILR to a current valid passport or to a BRP card.
Without either, she does not have any documentation confirming her current immigration status in the UK, a holiday to the Canaries will be a non starter.

She gets in and out of Thailand fine with her new and old passports.

£800 quid for a priority appointment just to transfer a visa she alkready has.
    Scandalous.

What about just a BRP card ?
How much would that cost ?surely she has some official documentation which would confirm her status that the embassy in question would be happy with .If its going to cost that much i would plum for a UK passport .

    Brp card.

"You will get a decision in six months""

Other than that it's £800 for a fast track.

I don't get it, she alkready has the ILR, why would it take up to six months to get the card?

Bit of an update regarding this.

Spoke with BLS Spain on telephone and they have assured me she can get a Schengen with the ILR in old passport,(doesnt have to have the BRP) as its still valid proof of right to remain in UK.
