Don’t worry, the vaccinator won’t be a monkey but a NHS/PHE trained (and medically supervised) individual

Yesterday I wanted to find out with my doctor if vaccination against pneumococcal infection reduces the risk of developing pneumonia? the answer was not very intelligible and well-reasoned ... I am thinking whether to do it myself?

Agree it would be hard to twist to inject in the top of your own arm but the key is getting the vaccine into the body and the arm is commonly used but there are many other injection sites equally as good. You would need to be seriously stupid to damage the muscle even my hip replacement operation only did temporary damage.

They are even suggesting administering as nasal sprays but more likely to be a jet injector if they offer mass treatment.

Safety profiling will and is being done so the vaccine will be as safe as possible the real issue is will it work and for how long. The rapid growth in case numbers will help the vaccine trials.
