Default Will VFS require original documents before scanning?

We will apply for a spouse visa (unmarried partner) with VFS in Bangkok. Does anyone know if staff in VFS require to see the original documents before scanning?

The reason is that we're waiting for bank statements sent from the UK. We suspect that the post might get lost as it has been over a week now. We only have the scanned version of the statements that we can print out in colours, so we wonder if we can submit the scanned version but not the original ones?

    Thank you

I suspect originals would be required to be scanned.

    Can anyone confirm this?
