Default A proud day for the Toddmeisters

It's been a nerve wracking week. With all the panic and madness going on around us I was convinced that my wife's citizenship ceremony (which we've been waiting for 2 months) would be cancelled. We received a call on Wednesday to say that it was in fact going ahead, but with a much more streamlined version of the traditional ceremony. We had originally asked for 7x guests to attend but this was reduced to 2x so only myself and our son could go. There was no choir, no post-ceremony refreshments as normal and only the Mayor and two council officials conducted the ceremony. Everyone was spaced out within the ceremony suite to comply with "social distancing" and nobody was allowed to shake hands. Still, it was a very proud day for my wife and our family. Yesterday my wife became British

Congratulations. You will just have to wait till the virus problem is over, then go out and celebrate with family and friends in true fashion :-)
